MASTER BAITER® RIGGING SAFETY CARD
CRITICAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS — READ BEFORE USE
1. HOOK AND RIG HANDLING
Keep Tension Controlled: Always maintain a firm, steady grip on your line while pulling the Master Baiter tool down the rig. Sudden slips can cause hooks to swing unpredictably.
Mind Hook Points: Sabiki rigs feature multiple extremely sharp, small hooks. Keep your fingers completely clear of the rig path below the tool as it moves down the line.
Never Force the Tool: If the tool catches or resists while sliding down the rig, stop immediately. Back the tool up slightly and check for tangled line or misaligned hooks before proceeding.
2. PERSONAL PROTECTION
Wear Eye Protection: Always wear polarized sunglasses or safety glasses while rigging. High-tension monofilament or fluorocarbon lines can snap back or cause hooks to fly if caught under pressure.
Use Proper Tools for Unhooking: When removing hooks from caught fish or clothing, always use long-nose pliers or a dedicated hook remover rather than your bare hands.
3. OPERATIONAL ENVIRONMENT
Rig on a Stable Surface: Avoid rigging while standing in heavy swells or on wet, slippery decks. Secure your footing or sit down before pulling the tool through the rig.
Clear Your Workspace: Ensure other passengers or anglers are standing well clear of your rigging station to prevent accidental hook snags during the downward pulling motion.
